In this studio series, we’re showcasing her rich skin tone and natural locks. No foundation on her skin, no digital skin smoothing.
Every skin tone is beautiful. But these days, “beauty” filters on phones automatically lighten and smooth skin. So many people, photographers included, tend to present beauty as a lighter shade with a plastic finish.
I’ve decided not to participate in this trend. Yes, sometimes I’ll remove blemishes, but I’m choosing to keep the skin tone as close to what I see in person. Also, the skin’s natural texture stays. No plastic finish.
