I had a lovely Beauty in Nature session with Worcester, MA-based model Anika Maya (Instagram: @ani.maya.o). We met in a garden in nearby Berlin. When I arrived, there was another photographer with a mobile, two light rig attached to his camera. He told me he loves photographing the sunflowers at this under-the-radar location.
When Anika and her boyfriend Connor arrived, I showed them three locations that I liked. Connor was very supportive and even assisted me with lighting. We went for “drama” lighting.
After we’d shot at all three spots in the garden, Anika suggested we go back to the sunflowers. I’m so glad we did, because she gave me some great looks.
When I was loading my gear back into my car, two people that work in the building next to the garden approached me to tell me how much they loved watching the shoot and the beautiful model. They thought our concepts were so artistic. Shout out to Peter and Hollie at Many Hands Thrift Shoppe.
